Because it is designed as a gateway, it is extremely easy to integrate Surgate Messaging Gateway with your existing e-mail system perfectly. Endersys engineers with help you during the whole integration process which is not more than 20 minutes.
Surgate Messaging Gateway, can be integrated your system in two ways::
1. SMTP Port Forwarding
If there is a firewall at the network entrance SMTP port( port 25) is forwarded to the Surgate deployed inside. So that all mail traffic passes through Surgate.
2. MX Forwarding
In DNS settings Surgate gateway’s IP is entered as MX record. So when SMTP servers on internet make MX query for the related domains they will find Surgate and deliver the e-mails directly to Surgate.

SMTP Configuration Surgate management interface allows you to control your entire mail infrastructure. All settings in the SMTP-level can be easily performed from interface. The domain settings for which Surgate Messaging Gateway is responsible and the e-mail traffic according to these domains are forwarded to the e-mail servers as flexible as possible. |

System Usage Surgate Messaging GateWay’s current processor load, memory usage, number of instant smtp connections ca be tracked from the interface. So system administrators can arrange the necessary planning measures for the health of their system before. |

LDAP Surgate Messaging Gateway can query the recipient users from the directory service if it is integrated with the existing LDAP/Windows Active Directory. LDAP profiles can be created easily by using the interface. |
